There's a new TV series called Crystal Lake that is set to arrive on Peacock this October.
From what I have read it is a prequal to the original Friday the 13th film. So I assume we are going to see a younger Pam Voorhees.
How do you guys feel about this?

Are we going to finally met Jason's father Elias? How will the Necronomicon play into it (if at all)?
We will see younger versions of Ralph, the Christies? etc.?
To be honest I am not happy about this series at all. It's unnecessary but my biggest frustration of all is with Sean Cunningham and Victor Miller. Those two old bastards should have retired and went off into the sunset ages ago. But noooo they had to fight in court which divided up my favorite franchise.
Victor wanted nothing to do with F13 for decades and all of the sudden he wanted to cash in. Sean never kept the records he should have proving the script was a work for hire (which is it was) and so he lost the rights battle and now we're in a shit storm as long as these two fuckers are living. This is some of the dumbest shit I've seen in my lifetime.
So who knows what Miller has planned for this series. IMO it should not be connected to the films and should exist within its own continuity. That would be the safest play. But we will see.
I do not expect it to last past 1 season. People want to see Jason Voorhees, hockey mask and all doing his thing. Pamela was never that important.
